OpenRuler is a local webpage measurement tool. After deliberate activation in the active tab, it transiently reads only geometric information required for measurement, such as width, height, position and element outline.
OpenRuler stores no measurements or website content, does not set, read or process cookies, transmits no website or usage data, and uses no telemetry, analytics, profiling or tracking.
It uses activeTab and scripting, with no standing host permission and no storage permission. To the extent the GDPR applies, transient local processing is necessary to provide the requested function under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. PERENUS and third parties receive no measurement, website or usage data, and the extension performs no third-country transfer. Measurement data is not retained.
